SCOPE OF WORK: A third-generation established beach home, due for updating to accommodate four kids and a busy lifestyle. Our customers found that they needed to reorganize the space to fit the way they lived. The home is a traditional one-story that had undergone a couple of remodels in the past. We enlarged their home by adding a master suite, complete with his/her walk-in closet and a deluxe master bath. In keeping with the "beach cottage" style throughout the home, we incorporated pine wall paneling in the new addition to blend old & new. The customer chose to match the existing oak flooring into the new & revamped areas as well.
In order to update the interior, we removed some interior walls to open the kitchen to the living area, reconstructed the kitchen to add extra seating and trayed the ceiling with impressive lighting accents; all of which gave them a great view of the backyard and golf course to enjoy from the kitchen sink. The kids are now able to play basketball on the new court that we built while mom and dad relax on their new screened in porch. Also, included in this project was a large patio that we built and finished with hand made brick pavers along with firepit and perimeter lighting, outdoor shower, new shutters, side entry and a playroom. The front porch was also expanded with decorative columns and the exterior brick on the entire house was painted to give the house a more updated look. |
